Anas bin Malik reported,

When Abdul-Rahman bin Awf arrived as a migrant, the Prophet ﷺ established a bond of brotherhood between him and Saad bin Rabi. Saad said to him, "I have wealth, so half of it is yours. I also have two wives, so look and see which of them you prefer, and I will divorce her. Once her waiting period is over, you may marry her."Abdul-Rahman replied, "May Allah bless you in your family and your wealth. Just show me the way to the market."He did not return that day until he came back with something he had earned at the market.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not see him for several days, then he came wearing traces of yellow perfume.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked him, "What is this?"He answered, "I have married a woman from the Ansar."The Prophet asked, "What did you give her as dowry?"He replied, "A date-stone's weight of gold," or he said, "the weight of a date-stone in gold."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hold a wedding feast, even if only with a single sheep."

عن أنس قال

لما قدم عبد الرحمن بن عوف مهاجرا آخى النبي ﷺ بينه وبين سعد بن الربيع فقال له سعد لي مال فنصفه لك ولي امرأتان فانظر أحبهما إليك حتى أطلقها فإذا انقضت عدتها تزوجها قال فقال له عبد الرحمن بارك الله لك في أهلك ومالك دلوني على السوق قال فما رجع يومئذ حتى رجع بشيء قد أصابه من السوق قال وفقده رسول الله ﷺ أياما ثم أتاه وعليه وضر صفرة فقال له رسول الله ﷺ مهيم قال تزوجت امرأة من الأنصار قال ما سقت إليها قال نواة من ذهب أو قال وزن نواة من ذهب قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ أولم ولو بشاة
