Abu Talha came on the day of Hunayn making the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laugh about Umm Sulaym. He said, "Messenger of Allah, have you not seen Umm Sulaym carrying a dagger at her side?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked her, "What are you going to do with this, Umm Sulaym?"She replied, "I intended that if any of them came near me, I would stab him with it."

جاء أبو طلحة يوم حنين يضحك رسول الله ﷺ من أم سليم قال يا رسول الله ألم تر إلى أم سليم متقلدة خنجرا فقال لها رسول الله ﷺ ما تصنعين به يا أم سليم قالت أردت إن دنا مني أحد منهم طعنته به
