Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

Some men of good standing testified before me, among them Umar , and the most trustworthy of them in my view was Umar , that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no prayer after the dawn prayer until the sun rises, and no prayer after the afternoon prayer until the sun sets."

عن ابن عباس قال

شهد عندي رجال مرضيون فيهم عمر رضي الله عنه وأرضاهم عندي عمر رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا صلاة بعد الصبح حتى تطلع الشمس ولا صلاة بعد العصر حتى تغرب الشمس
