Anas bin Malik reported,

When Abdul-Rahman bin Awf arrived in Medina, the Prophet ﷺ established a bond of brotherhood between him and Saad bin Rabi.Saad said, "Let me share my wealth with you in halves. I have two wives, so I will divorce one of them, and once her waiting period is complete, you may marry her."Abdul-Rahman replied, "May Allah bless you in your family and your wealth. Just show me the way to the market."So they directed him to the market, and he set out. He did not return except with some dried curd and clarified butter that he had earned as profit. Some time later, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw him bearing traces of yellow perfume and asked, "What is this?"He answered, "I have married a woman from the Ansar."The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What dowry did you give her?"He said, "A piece of gold the weight of a date stone."Humayd said, "Or the weight of a date stone in gold."The Prophet ﷺ then said, "Hold a wedding feast, even if only with a single sheep."
