The Prophet of Allah ﷺ went out and the Ansar came to meet him. They gathered around him, and he said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, I truly love you. The Ansar have fulfilled their duty, and what remains is the duty owed to them. So treat their righteous well, and overlook the faults of those among them who err."
حدثنا عبيدة بن حميد عن حميد الطويل
خرج نبي الله ﷺ فتلقته الأنصار بينهم فقال والذي نفس محمد بيده إني لأحبكم إن الأنصار قد قضوا ما عليهم وبقي الذي عليكم فأحسنوا إلى محسنهم وتجاوزوا عن مسيئهم
