The Prophet ﷺ wanted to write a letter to the Romans, but he was told, "They will not read your letter unless it is sealed." So he had a ring made of silver and engraved on it, "Muhammad, Messenger of Allah." It is as though I can still see its whiteness on his palm.
Its chain of transmission is sahih. It has already preceded, and it is found in Bukhari 10/324 no. 5875 Fath, and Muslim 3/1657 no. 2092.12800m - Abu Abdul-Rahman said, I read this hadith to my father alone, and he confirmed it, and he had narrated part of it to us in another place. He said, Musa bin Hilal Abdi told us, Hammam told us, from Ibn Sirin, from Anas bin Malik, who said, Abu Talha married Umm Salim, who was the mother of Anas and Bara. He said, she bore him a son, and he loved him dearly. Then the boy fell seriously ill. Abu Talha used to get up for the dawn prayer, perform ablution, and go to the Prophet ﷺ and pray with him, staying with him until close to midday. Then he would come, take a nap, and eat. Then he would pray Dhuhr for a while and go out, and would not return until the night prayer. He said, one evening he set out, and the boy died. Then Abu Talha came. She said, I covered him with a cloth and left him. Abu Talha said to her, "Umm Salim, how did my son spend the night?" She said, "Abu Talha, since he fell ill he has not been as still as he was tonight." Then she brought him food, and he ate and felt at ease. Then he got up and went to his bed and laid his head down. She said, then I got up and put on some perfume, then I came and got into bed with him, and as soon as he sensed the scent of the perfume, what happens between a man and his wife happened between us.Then in the morning Abu Talha got ready as he did every day. She said to him, "Abu Talha, if a man entrusted you with something to look after, and you made use of it, and then he asked for it back, would you resent giving it back to him?" He said, "No." She said, "Then your son has died." Anas said, he grieved for him greatly, and he told the Messenger of Allah ﷺ what had happened regarding the food and the perfume and what had passed between him and her. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Did you spend the night together while he was lying beside you?" He said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah bless the two of you in your night."He said, Umm Salim conceived that night, and she bore a son. When morning came, Abu Talha said to me, "Carry him wrapped in a cloth until you bring him to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and take some ajwa dates with you." So I carried him wrapped in a cloth. He had not yet chewed or tasted any food or anything at all. I said, "Messenger of Allah, Umm Salim has given birth." He said, "Allah is greatest, what did she bear?" I said, "A boy." He said, "Praise be to Allah." Then he said, "Bring him to me." So I handed him to him, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ chewed something and put it in his mouth, then said to him, "Do you have ajwa dates with you?" I said, "Yes," and I took out some dates. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took a date and put it in his mouth, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept chewing it until it mixed with his saliva, then he put it into the boy's mouth. As soon as the boy tasted the sweetness of the date he began sucking on the sweetness of the date and the saliva of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So he was the first whose stomach was opened by the saliva of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The love of the Ansar is for dates." So he was named Abdullah bin Abu Talha. He said, a great number of children came from him. He said, and Abdullah was martyred in Faris.Sahih (12800m). Its chain of transmission is sahih.
