Anas bin Malik reported,

Rabi bint Nadr, the paternal aunt of Anas bin Malik, broke the front tooth of a young girl. Her family offered the girl's family compensation, but they refused. They asked for pardon, but the offenders refused. So they brought the matter to the Prophet ﷺ, who ordered retaliation in kind.Her brother Anas bin Nadr, the paternal uncle of Anas bin Malik, came and said, "Messenger of Allah, will Rabi's tooth be broken? No, by the One who sent you with the truth, her tooth shall not be broken!"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "Anas, the Book of Allah prescribes retaliation."Then the family pardoned her.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Among the servants of Allah there are those who, if they were to swear an oath by Allah, He would fulfill it for them."

عن أنس بن مالك

أن الربيع بنت النضر عمة أنس بن مالك كسرت ثنية جارية فعرضوا عليهم الأرش فأبوا وطلبوا العفو فأبوا فأبوا النبي ﷺ فأمر بالقصاص فجاء أخوها أنس بن النضر عم أنس بن مالك فقال يا رسول الله أتكسر ثنية الربيع لا والذي بعثك بالحق لا تكسر ثنيتها فقال رسول الله ﷺ يا أنس كتاب الله القصاص قال فعفا القوم قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ إن من عباد الله من لو أقسم على الله لأبره
