Some men from the Ansar, on the day of Hunayn, when Allah granted His Messenger the wealth of Hawazin as spoils, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ began giving men from Quraysh a hundred camels each, said, "May Allah forgive the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He gives to Quraysh and leaves us aside, while our swords still drip with their blood."Anas said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was informed of what they had said, so he sent for the Ansar and gathered them in a tent made of leather, summoning no one else besides them. When they had assembled, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to them and said, 'What is this talk that has reached me from you?'"The wise and senior men among the Ansar replied, "Messenger of Allah, those of us with sound judgment said nothing. It is only some of our younger men who said such and such," repeating what had been said.The Prophet ﷺ then said, "I give to certain men who are still new to faith, having recently left disbelief, in order to win their hearts. Are you not pleased that the people should depart with worldly goods, while you return with the Messenger of Allah to your homes? By Allah, what you return with is better than what they return with."They said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah, we are content."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to them, "After me you will encounter severe favoritism shown to others over you, so be patient until you meet Allah and His Messenger, for I will be your forerunner at the Pool."Anas said, "But we did not remain patient."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال أخبرنا معمر عن الزهري قال
أن ناسا من الأنصار قالوا يوم حنين حين أفاء الله على رسوله أموال هوازن وطفق رسول الله ﷺ يعطي رجالا من قريش المائة من الإبل كل رجل فقالوا يغفر الله لرسول الله ﷺ يعطي قريشا ويتركنا وسيوفنا تقطر من دمائهم قال أنس فحدث رسول الله ﷺ بمقالتهم فأرسل إلى الأنصار فجمعهم في قبة من أدم ولم يدع أحدا غيرهم فلما اجتمعوا جاءهم رسول الله ﷺ فقال ما حديث بلغني عنكم فقالت الأنصار أما ذوو رأينا فلم يقولوا شيئا وأما ناس حديثة أسنانهم فقالوا كذا وكذا للذي قالوا فقال النبي ﷺ إني لأعطي رجالا حدثاء عهد بكفر أتألفهم أو قال أستألفهم أفلا ترضون أن يذهب الناس بالأموال وترجعون برسول الله إلى رحالكم فوالله لما تنقلبون به خير مما ينقلبون به قالوا أجل يا رسول الله قد رضينا فقال لهم رسول الله ﷺ إنكم ستجدون بعدي أثرة شديدة فاصبروا حتى تلقوا الله ورسوله فإني فرطكم على الحوض قال أنس فلم نصبر
