The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to the house of Zayd bin Haritha, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw his wife Zaynab, and it was as if something entered his heart. I do not know whether this is from the words of Hammad or part of the hadith itself.Then Zayd came complaining about her to him, and the Prophet ﷺ said to him, "Keep your wife and fear Allah."So the verse was revealed, "And fear Allah, while you concealed within yourself that which Allah was to disclose," up to His statement, "We married her to you" [Ahzab 33:37], meaning Zaynab.
حدثنا مؤمل بن إسماعيل حدثنا حماد بن زيد حدثنا ثابت
أتى رسول الله ﷺ منزل زيد بن حارثة فرأى رسول الله ﷺ امرأته زينب وكأنه دخله لا أدري من قول حماد أو في الحديث فجاء زيد يشكوها إليه فقال له النبي ﷺ أمسك عليك زوجك واتق الله قال فنزلت {واتق الله وتخفي في نفسك ما الله مبديه} إلى قوله {زوجناكها} يعني زينب
