The Prophet ﷺ said, "Shall I tell you about the people of the Fire and the people of Paradise? As for the people of Paradise, every one of them is weak and considered insignificant, with disheveled hair and wearing two worn-out garments, yet if he were to swear an oath by Allah, Allah would fulfill it for him. As for the people of the Fire, every one of them is harsh and arrogant, greedy and miserly, hoarding wealth and withholding it, surrounded by followers."
حدثنا حسن حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن أبي النضر
عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال ألا أخبركم بأهل النار وأهل الجنة أما أهل الجنة فكل ضعيف متضعف أشعث ذي طمرين لو أقسم على الله لأبره وأما أهل النار فكل جعظري جواظ جماع مناع ذي تبع
Its chain of transmission is hasan, due to Ibn Lahia. Hasan is Ibn Musa, and Abu Nadr is Salim bin Abu Umaya al-Madani. The hadith previously appeared at 8806 and 10547.As for his saying "al-Jaathari," it means the harsh, coarse, arrogant person, and "al-Jawwath" is one who accumulates wealth and is stingy with it. And his saying "dhi tabaa" means that people follow him despite his extreme stinginess and bad character.
