Anas bin Malik reported,

Thabit said, "I asked Anas, 'Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention anything about gray hair?'"Anas replied, "Allah took His Messenger without disgracing him with gray hair. On the day he died, there were not even thirty white hairs on his head and beard combined."Someone said to Anas, "Is gray hair a disgrace?"He answered, "As for you, you regard it as a disgrace, but we used to consider it an adornment."

حدثنا أبو سعيد مولى بني هاشم حدثنا أبو يعقوب يعني إسحاق قال سمعت ثابتا البناني وسأله رجل هل سألت

أنس بن مالك قال

ثابت سألت أنسا هل سمعت رسول الله ﷺ قال لقد قبض الله عز وجل رسوله وما فضحه بالشيب ما كان في رأسه ولحيته يوم مات ثلاثون شعرة بيضاء وقيل له أفضيحة هو قال أما أنتم فتعدونه فضيحة وأما نحن فكنا نعده زينا
