Anas bin Malik reported,

He said to a woman of his household, "Do you know so-and-so? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by her while she was weeping at a grave and said to her, 'Fear Allah and be patient.'She replied, 'Get away from me. You do not care about my misfortune.'She had not recognized him. Then she was told that he was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and she was struck with something like the agony of death. She came to his door and found no doorkeeper there, and she said, 'Messenger of Allah, I did not recognize you.'He said, 'True patience is at the first shock.'"

حدثني عبد الصمد حدثنا شعبة وأبو داود قال أخبرنا شعبة المعنى حدثنا ثابت قال سمعت

أنسا يقول

لامرأة من أهله أتعرفين فلانة فإن رسول الله ﷺ مر بها وهي تبكي على قبر فقال لها اتقي الله واصبري فقالت له إياك عني فإنك لا تبالي بمصيبتي قال ولم تكن عرفته فقيل لها إنه رسول الله ﷺ فأخذ بها مثل الموت فجاءت إلى بابه فلم تجد عليه بوابا فقالت يا رسول الله إني لم أعرفك فقال إن الصبر عند أول صدمة
