The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not come until people are drenched by a universal rain, yet the earth produces nothing."
حدثنا زيد بن الحباب قال حدثني حسين بن واقد حدثني معاذ بن حرملة الأزدي قال سمعت
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تقوم الساعة حتى يمطر الناس مطرا عاما ولا تنبت الأرض شيئا
Its isnad is sahih. Zayd bin Hubab and Husayn bin Waqid are both truthful narrators (saduq) with entries in Muslim. Hakim (4/513) graded it sahih, and Dhahabi agreed with him. As for Muaz bin Harmala Azdi, or Ansari as some say, Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat (5/423), and Ibn Abu Hatim mentioned him without mentioning any criticism of him (8/248, no. 1125).
