The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to combine the noon and afternoon prayers, and the sunset and night prayers, while traveling.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن حفص بن عبيد الله بن أنس
كان رسول الله ﷺ يجمع بين الظهر والعصر والمغرب والعشاء في السفر
Its isnad is sahih. It is found in Bukhari 1/340, no. 1069, Fath al-Bari, in the chapter on shortening the prayer, combining prayers while traveling, and in Muslim 1/479, no. 704, in the chapter on travelers, with similar wording, and in Abu Dawud 2/7/1206, with similar wording.
