The Messenger of Allah ﷺ brought his fingertips together and tapped them on the ground, saying, "This is the son of Adam." Then he gestured with his hand behind that spot and said, "This is his appointed term." Then he pointed in front of him and said, "And there lies his hope." He repeated this three times.
حدثنا بهز حدثنا حماد بن سلمة قال أنا عبيد الله بن أبي بكر
جمع رسول الله ﷺ أنامله فنكتهن في الأرض فقال هذا ابن آدم وقال بيده خلف ذلك وقال هذا أجله قال وأومأ بين يديه قال وثم أمله ثلاث مرار
