I was walking with Thabit Bunani when he passed by some boys and greeted them. He related that he had been walking with Anas when he passed by some boys and greeted them, and Anas related that he had been walking with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he passed by some boys and greeted them.

كنت أمشي مع ثابت البناني فمر بصبيان فسلم عليهم وحدث أنه كان يمشي مع أنس فمر بصبيان فسلم عليهم وحدث أنس أنه كان يمشي مع رسول الله ﷺ فمر بصبيان فسلم عليهم
Its isnad is sahih. Sayyar is Abu Hakam Anazi Wasiti, and he is trustworthy. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari, 11/32, no. 6247, in Fath al-Bari, in the chapter on seeking permission, on greeting children with salam, and by Muslim similarly in the chapter on salam, 4/1708, no. 2168, and by Abu Dawud, 4/352, no. 5202, in the chapter on manners, similarly, and by Tirmidhi, 5/57, no. 2699, similarly to Bukhari, and by Darimi similarly, 2/358, no. 2636, and by Ibn Majah, 2/1220, no. 3700, similarly to Abu Dawud.
