Umm Sulaym took me by the hand when the Prophet ﷺ first arrived in Medina and brought me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said, "Messenger of Allah, this is my son, and he is a boy who can write."I served him for nine years, and never once did he say to me about anything I had done, "You have done wrong," or, "What a bad thing you have done."

أخذت أم سليم بيدي مقدم النبي ﷺ المدينة فأتت بي رسول الله ﷺ فقالت يا رسول الله هذا ابني وهو غلام كاتب قال فخدمته تسع سنين فما قال لي لشيء قط صنعته أسأت أو بئس ما صنعت
