Ali bin Abu Talib reported,

Among the people of Nahrawan there is a man with a deformed hand, a stunted hand, or a defective hand. Were it not that you might become arrogant, I would tell you what Allah has decreed on the tongue of His Prophet ﷺ for those who kill them.Ubayda said, "I asked Ali , 'Did you yourself hear this?'"He replied, "Yes, by the Lord of the Kaabah," swearing to it three times.

ي لأهل النهروان منهم رجل مثدون اليد أو مودن اليد أو مخدج اليد لولا أن تبطروا لأنبأتكم ما قضى الله على لسان نبيه ﷺ لمن قتلهم قال عبيدة فقلت لعلي رضي الله عنه آنت سمعته قال نعم ورب الكعبة يحلف عليها ثلاثا
