On the day of Hudaybiyyah, eighty armed men from the people of Mecca descended upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions from the direction of Mount Tanim. He prayed against them, and they were captured. Then this verse was revealed, "And it is He who withheld their hands from you and your hands from them within Mecca after He caused you to overcome them" [Fath 48:24]. He said, meaning Mount Tanim, near Mecca.
حدثنا يزيد حدثنا حماد عن ثابت البناني
لما كان يوم الحديبية هبط على رسول الله ﷺ وأصحابه ثمانون رجلا من أهل مكة في السلاح من قبل جبل التنعيم فدعا عليهم فأخذوا ونزلت هذه الآية {وهو الذي كف أيديهم عنكم وأيديكم عنهم ببطن مكة من بعد أن أظفركم عليهم} قال يعني جبل التنعيم من مكة
