The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to mix freely with us, to the point that he would say to a young brother of mine, "Abu Umayr, what happened to the little nughayr?" referring to a small bird he used to play with.He said, A mat of ours was sprinkled with water, and he prayed on it while we lined up in rows behind him.
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا شعبة عن أبي التياح قال سمعت
كان رسول الله ﷺ يخالطنا حتى يقول لأخ لي صغير يا أبا عمير ما فعل النغير طائر كان يلعب به قال ونضح بساط لنا قال فصلى عليه وصفنا خلفه
