The Prophet ﷺ found a date and said, "Were it not that you might be from the charity, I would have eaten you."
حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن منصور عن طلحة
أن النبي ﷺ وجد تمرة فقال لولا أن تكوني من الصدقة لأكلتك
Its isnad is sahih. Talha is Ibn Musarrif, and Mansur is Ibn Mutamir. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 3/71 in "Sales, avoiding doubtful matters," and Muslim 2/752 no. 1071 in "Zakat, prohibition of zakat for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," and Bayhaqi 6/195.
