Its chain is daif because of Salama bin Wardan. They only graded him daif because of his severely poor memory, and he is poor in memory in this hadith specifically because he contradicted the trustworthy narrators. The trustworthy narrators narrate the hadith stating that the one who said "I did" was Abu Bakr, as narrated by Muslim, 2/713, number 108, in the chapter on zakat, on gathering charity and acts of righteousness, and by Ibn Abu Shayba, 3/136 and 12/37. Baghawi likewise cited this narration in Sharh al-Sunnah, 6/147, pointing to Muslim's narration, and Haythami likewise graded it daif, 3/163.
