Anas bin Malik reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the Day of Sacrifice, "Whoever slaughtered before the prayer must repeat it."A man stood up and said, "Messenger of Allah, this is a day on which meat is desired," and he mentioned the difficult circumstances of his neighbors, as if the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accepted what he said. He continued, "I have a young goat that is dearer to me than two sheep meant for meat."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted him a concession. The narrator said, "I do not know whether his concession extended to anyone besides him or not."Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned toward two rams and slaughtered them, and the people went to a small flock of sheep and divided them among themselves, or he said, "they portioned them out."
