Abu Talha had a son called Abu Umayr, and the Prophet ﷺ used to play and joke with him. One day he saw him looking sad, so he said, "Abu Umayr, what happened to the little nughayr bird?"

كان لأبي طلحة ابن يقال له أبو عمير وكان النبي ﷺ يضاحكه قال فرآه حزينا فقال يا أبا عمير ما فعل النغير
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it 8/37 in the Book of Manners, chapter on being cheerful with people, and Muslim, 3/1689 no. 214, chapter on the recommendation of putting a chewed date in the newborn's mouth, and Abu Dawud, 4/293 no. 4969, chapter on a man using a kunya, and Tirmidhi, 4/357 no. 1989, in the Book of Prayer, chapter on what has been said about praying on a mat, and he said, hasan sahih, and Ibn Majah, 2/1226 no. 3720.
