The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to breathe three times while drinking from his vessel, and Anas would also breathe three times.
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد حدثنا عزرة بن ثابت عن ثمامة بن عبد الله
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يتنفس في إنائه ثلاثا وكان أنس يتنفس ثلاثا
Its isnad is sahih. Azra bin Thabit Ansari is trustworthy, and Thumama bin Abdullah bin Anas narrates from his grandfather, and he is trustworthy, his hadith being accepted by the whole community. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 7/146, in the Book of Drinks, chapter on drinking in two breaths, and Muslim 3/1602 number 2028, and Tirmidhi 4/302 number 1884, who said, hasan sahih.
