I asked Anas bin Malik, "What did you all do on this day, meaning the Day of Arafah?"He replied, "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Some of us would call out the talbiyah and no one objected, and some of us would call out the takbir and no one objected."

سألت أنس بن مالك كيف كنتم تصنعون في هذا اليوم يعني يوم عرفة قال كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ يهل المهل منا فلا ينكر عليه ويكبر المكبر منا فلا ينكر عليه
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Muhammad bin Abu Bakr is Thaqafi, the Hijazi. Bukhari narrated the hadith in the chapter on Hajj, talbiyah and takbir, 3/510, no. 1659, Fath, and Muslim narrated it similarly, 2/932, no. 1285.
