Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Fudayl bin Ghazwan is trustworthy, and his hadith is accepted by the group. Ahmad, Abu Zura, Abu Hatim, and Nasai approved of him, while Abu Dawud said, "He was an avowed Shia." But this hadith carries no sectarian claim. Bukhari related it, 6/99, no. 2916, in the book of jihad, in the chapter on what was said about the armor of the Prophet ﷺ, and Tirmidhi, 3/511, no. 1215, saying it is hasan sahih, and Nasai, 7/303, no. 4651, and Ibn Majah, 2/815, no. 2437.
