The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever raises three daughters, disciplines them, shows them mercy, and treats them well, Paradise is his."Abdullah said, My father, may Allah have mercy on him, said, Khalid bin Abdullah, meaning al-Tahhan, Malik bin Anas, Abu Ahwas, and Hammad bin Zayd all died in the year ninety-nine, except that Malik died shortly before Hammad bin Zayd.My father said, In that very year I began seeking hadith. We were at the door of Hushaym while he was dictating to us, either the chapter on funerals or the chapter on the rites of pilgrimage, when a man from Basra came and announced, "Hammad bin Zayd has died." May Allah's mercy be upon them all.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا خالد عن سهيل بن أبي صالح عن سعيد الأعشى عن أيوب بن بشير
قال رسول الله ﷺ من عال ثلاث بنات فأدبهن ورحمهن وأحسن إليهن فله الجنة قال عبد الله قال أبي رحمه الله مات خالد بن عبد الله يعني الطحان ومالك بن أنس وأبو الأحوص وحماد بن زيد في سنة تسع وتسعين إلا أن مالكا مات قبل حماد بن زيد بقليل قال أبي وفي تلك السنة طلبت الحديث كنا على باب هشيم وهو يملي علينا إما قال الجنائز أو المناسك فجاء رجل بصري فقال مات حماد بن زيد رحمة الله عليهم أجمعين
