The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade continuous fasting without breaking it. His companions kept pressing him about it until he permitted them to fast from one predawn meal to the next.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد بن سلمة أخبرنا بشر بن حرب
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه نهى عن الوصال في الصوم فلم يزل به أصحابه حتى رخص لهم من السحر إلى السحر
