Abu Hurairah and Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No group gathers to remember Allah but the angels surround them, mercy covers them, tranquility descends upon them, and Allah mentions them to those in His presence."He also said, "Allah grants respite until the last third of the night, when Allah descends to this lowest heaven and calls out, 'Is there any sinner seeking to repent? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness? Is there anyone making supplication? Is there anyone asking?' until dawn."

عن أبي هريرة وأبي سعيد الخدري

عن رسول الله ﷺ قال ما اجتمع قوم يذكرون الله إلا حفتهم الملائكة وتغشتهم الرحمة ونزلت عليهم السكينة وذكرهم الله فيمن عنده وقال إن الله يمهل حتى إذا كان ثلث الليل الآخر نزل الله عز وجل إلى هذه السماء فنادى هل من مذنب يتوب هل من مستغفر هل من داع هل من سائل إلى الفجر
