A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "My brother has diarrhea."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give him honey to drink."So he gave him honey, then returned and said, "I gave it to him, but it only made his diarrhea worse."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ told him the same thing three times. When he came the fourth time, the Prophet ﷺ again said, "Give him honey to drink."The man replied, "I have already given it to him, but it only made his diarrhea worse."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has spoken the truth, and your brother's stomach has lied."So he gave him honey, and he was cured.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة وحجاج حدثني شعبة عن قتادة عن أبي المتوكل قال حجاج في حديثه سمعت أبا المتوكل
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال إن أخي انطلق بطنه فقال رسول الله ﷺ اسقه عسلا فسقاه فقال إني سقيته فلم يزده إلا استطلاقا فقال له ثلاث مرات ثم جاءه الرابعة فقال اسقه عسلا فقال قد سقيته فلم يزده إلا استطلاقا فقال رسول الله ﷺ صدق الله وكذب بطن أخيك فسقاه فبرئ
