A man from the clan of Amr bin Awf and a man from the clan of Khudrah disputed about the mosque founded upon piety. The Awfi said, "It is the Mosque of Quba."The Khudri said, "It is the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."So they came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and asked him about it. He said, "It is this mosque of mine, and in that there is much good."
حدثنا صفوان حدثنا أنيس بن أبي يحيى عن أبيه
أن رجلا من بني عمرو بن عوف ورجلا من بني خدرة امتريا في المسجد الذي أسس على التقوى فقال العوفي هو مسجد قباء وقال الخدري هو مسجد رسول الله ﷺ فأتيا رسول الله ﷺ فسألاه عن ذلك فقال هو مسجدي هذا وفي ذلك خير كثير
