The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Mudar will strike down the worshippers of Allah until the name of Allah is no longer worshipped, and the believers will strike them down until they cannot defend even the tail-end of a small valley."

قال رسول الله ﷺ لتضربن مضر عباد الله حتى لا يعبد لله اسم وليضربنهم المؤمنون حتى لا يمنعوا ذنب تلعة

Its chain of transmission is hasan. The hadith was narrated by Ibn Abu Shayba (15/111), and Hakim (4/470), who graded it sahih and Dhahabi agreed with him. Haythami graded it hasan in al-Majma (7/313) and noted the discussion regarding Mujalid. Abbad bin Abbad bin Alqama al-Misri al-Mazini is truthful, and Khalaf bin Walid was deemed reliable by Ibn Main, Abu Zura, and Abu Hatim.
