The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Friday comes, the angels sit at the doors of the mosque and record the people as they arrive, ranking them according to their status. One person is like someone who offered a camel, another like one who offered a cow, another like one who offered a sheep, another like one who offered a chicken, another like one who offered a sparrow, and another like one who offered an egg. When the muezzin gives the call to prayer and the imam sits on the pulpit, the scrolls are rolled up and the angels enter the mosque to listen to the remembrance."
حدثنا يعقوب حدثنا أبي عن ابن إسحاق قال حدثني العلاء بن عبد الرحمن عن أبيه
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال إذا كان يوم الجمعة قعدت الملائكة على أبواب المسجد فيكتبون الناس من جاء من الناس على منازلهم فرجل قدم جزورا ورجل قدم بقرة ورجل قدم شاة ورجل قدم دجاجة ورجل قدم عصفورا ورجل قدم بيضة قال فإذا أذن المؤذن وجلس الإمام على المنبر طويت الصحف ودخلوا المسجد يستمعون الذكر
