The Prophet ﷺ said that Musa once said, "My Lord, Your believing servant lives in hardship in this world."A door of Paradise was then opened for him to look upon, and it was said, "Musa, this is what I have prepared for him."Musa replied, "My Lord, by Your might and majesty, if he had been cut off at the hands and feet, dragged on his face from the day You created him until the Day of Resurrection, and this were to be his end, he would not have known any misery at all."Then Musa said, "My Lord, Your disbelieving servant lives in abundance in this world."A door of the Fire was then opened for him, and it was said, "Musa, this is what I have prepared for him."Musa replied, "My Lord, by Your might and majesty, if the whole world had been his from the day You created him until the Day of Resurrection, and this were to be his end, it would be as though he had never known any good at all."
