The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Paradise and the Fire disputed with one another. The Fire said, 'In me are the tyrants and the arrogant.' Paradise said, 'In me are the weak among people and the poor.' So Allah judged between them, saying, 'You, Paradise, are My mercy, through you I show mercy to whom I will. And you, Fire, are My punishment, through you I punish whom I will. And it is upon Me to fill both of you.'"
حدثنا عثمان بن محمد قال عبد الله وسمعته أنا من عثمان حدثنا جرير عن الأعمش عن أبي صالح
قال رسول الله ﷺ احتجت الجنة والنار فقالت النار في الجبارون والمتكبرون وقالت الجنة في ضعفاء الناس ومساكينهم قال فقضى بينهما إنك الجنة رحمتي أرحم بك من أشاء وإنك النار عذابي أعذب بك من أشاء ولكلاكما علي ملؤها
