A garment of striped silk was given as a gift to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he sent it to me. I went out wearing it, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ became angry, so much so that I could see the anger on his face.He said, "I did not give it to you so that you would wear it."He then instructed me, so I distributed it among the women of my household.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن أبي عون عن أبي صالح قال سمعت
أهديت لرسول الله ﷺ حلة سيراء فبعث بها إلي رسول الله ﷺ فخرجت فيها فغضب رسول الله ﷺ حتى رأيت الغضب في وجهه فقال إني لم أعطكها لتلبسها قال فأمرني فأطرتها بين نسائي
