When the people of Qurayza surrendered to the judgment of Saad bin Muaz, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for him. Saad came riding on a donkey, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Stand up for your leader," or, "for the best among you."Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "These people have surrendered to your judgment."Saad replied, "I rule that their fighting men be killed and their women and children taken captive."The Prophet ﷺ said, "You have judged with the judgment of the King."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا شعبة قال أخبرنا سعد بن إبراهيم قال سمعت أبا أمامة بن سهل بن حنيف يحدث
أن أهل قريظة لما نزلوا على حكم سعد بن معاذ أرسل إليه رسول الله ﷺ فجاء على حمار فقال رسول الله ﷺ قوموا إلى سيدكم أو إلى خيركم فقال إن هؤلاء نزلوا على حكمك قال إني أحكم أن يقتل مقاتلتهم وتسبى ذراريهم قال لقد حكمت بحكم الملك
