We left Madinah loudly proclaiming the talbiyah for hajj. When we arrived in Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Make it an umrah, except for those who have brought their sacrificial animals with them."Then on the evening of the Day of Tarwiyah, we entered the state of ihram for hajj.

خرجنا من المدينة نصرخ بالحج صراخا فلما قدمنا مكة قال فقال رسول الله ﷺ اجعلوها عمرة إلا من كان معه الهدي فلما كان عشية التروية أهللنا بالحج
