I went in to visit Abu Salama, and he brought us butter and a piece of bread. A fly fell into the food, and Abu Salama began dipping it into the food with his finger.I said, "Uncle, what are you doing?"He replied, "Abu Saeed Khudri told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'One of the fly's wings carries poison and the other carries a cure. When it falls into food, dip it in fully, for it puts the poison forward and holds the cure back.'"
حدثنا يزيد قال ثنا ابن أبي ذئب
دخلت على أبي سلمة فأتانا بزبد وكتلة فأسقط ذباب في الطعام فجعل أبو سلمة يمقله بأصبعه فيه فقلت يا خال ما تصنع فقال إن أبا سعيد الخدري حدثني عن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن أحد جناحي الذباب سم والآخر شفاء فإذا وقع في الطعام فامقلوه فإنه يقدم السم ويؤخر الشفاء
