The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not write anything from me except the Quran. Whoever has written anything from me other than the Quran should erase it." He also said, "Narrate from the Children of Israil, there is no harm in that. Narrate from me, but do not lie about me. Whoever lies about me," Hammam said, "I think he said, 'deliberately,' should take his seat in the Fire."
حدثنا عفان حدثنا همام أخبرنا زيد بن أسلم عن عطاء بن يسار
عن النبي ﷺ قال لا تكتبوا عني شيئا غير القرآن فمن كتب عني شيئا غير القرآن فليمحه وقال حدثوا عن بني إسرائيل ولا حرج حدثوا عني ولا تكذبوا قال ومن كذب علي قال همام أحسبه قال متعمدا فليتبوأ مقعده من النار
