He would continue traveling until the sun set and darkness fell, then he would stop and pray Maghrib, followed immediately by Isha. Then he would say, "This is how I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do it."

كان يسير حتى إذا غربت الشمس وأظلم نزل فصلى المغرب ثم صلى العشاء على أثرها ثم يقول هكذا رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصنع
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Usama is Hammad bin Usama, and he is trustworthy, firmly reliable, and dependable. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Umar bin Ali bin Abu Talib was mentioned by Ibn Hibban in Ath-Thiqat. Abu Dawud narrated the hadith at 1:476, and he and Munziri both remained silent about it. This hadith and the one before it are among the additions of Abdullah bin Ahmad.
