While I was with Abu Saeed Khudri in the company of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we entered the mosque, and there we saw a man sitting in the middle of the mosque clasping his knees with his arms, his fingers interlocked with one another.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gestured to him, but the man did not notice the gesture of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turned to Abu Saeed and said, "When one of you is in the mosque, let him not interlock his fingers, for interlocking the fingers is from Satan. One of you remains in a state of prayer as long as he is in the mosque, until he leaves it."

بينما أنا مع أبي سعيد الخدري مع رسول الله ﷺ إذ دخلنا المسجد فإذا رجل جالس في وسط المسجد محتبيا مشبك أصابعه بعضها في بعض فأشار إليه رسول الله ﷺ فلم يفطن الرجل لإشارة رسول الله ﷺ فالتفت رسول الله ﷺ إلى أبي سعيد فقال إذا كان أحدكم في المسجد فلا يشبكن فإن التشبيك من الشيطان وإن أحدكم لا يزال في صلاة ما دام في المسجد حتى يخرج منه
