The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to break his fast on the day of Fitr before going out, and he would not pray before the Eid prayer. Once he completed the prayer, he would pray two rakahs.
حدثنا زكريا بن عدي قال أنبأنا عبيد الله بن عمرو عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل عن عطاء بن يسار
كان رسول الله ﷺ يفطر يوم الفطر قبل أن يخرج وكان لا يصلي قبل الصلاة فإذا قضى صلاته صلى ركعتين
