The hearts that were being reconciled during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ belonged to four men, Alqama bin Ulatha al-Jafari, Aqra bin Habis al-Hanzali, Zayd al-Khayl al-Tai, and Uyayna bin Badr al-Fazari.Ali sent a piece of gold from Yemen, still mixed with its earth, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ divided it among them.

Its isnad is sahih. Saeed bin Masruq is Thawri, the father of Sufyan, and Ibn Abu Numm is Abdul-Rahman Bajali, a trustworthy narrator. The hadith was mentioned previously at 10950, at the beginning of the Musnad of Abu Saeed.
