Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

My brother died, so I came to Abu Saeed Khudri and said, "Abu Saeed, my brother has passed away leaving dependents, and I have my own dependents, and we have no wealth. I have decided to take my family and my brother's family and settle in one of these other towns where life would be easier for us."He replied, "Woe to you, do not leave! For I heard him," meaning the Prophet ﷺ, "say, 'Whoever endures the hardship and severity of life in Madinah, I will be an intercessor or a witness for him on the Day of Resurrection.'"

عن أبي سعيد مولى المهري قال

توفي أخي وأتيت أبا سعيد الخدري فقلت يا أبا سعيد إن أخي توفي وترك عيالا ولي عيال وليس لنا مال وقد أردت أن أخرج بعيالي وعيال أخي حتى ننزل بعض هذه الأمصار فيكون أرفق علينا في معيشتنا قال ويحك لا تخرج فإني سمعته يقول يعني النبي ﷺ من صبر على لأوائها وشدتها كنت له شفيعا أو شهيدا يوم القيامة
