Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took the banner and shook it, then said, "Who will take it and fulfill its right?"So-and-so came forward and said, "I will."He said, "Step aside."Then another man came, and he said, "Step aside."Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "By the One who has honored the face of Muhammad, I shall give it to a man who does not flee. Take it, Ali."So he set out, and Allah granted him the conquest of Khaybar and Fadak, and he brought back their dates and their dried meat.Musab said, "Its dates and its dried meat."

حدثنا مصعب بن المقدام وحجين بن المثنى قالا حدثنا إسرائيل حدثنا عبد الله بن عصمة العجلي قال

سمعت أبا سعيد الخدري يقول

إن رسول الله ﷺ أخذ الراية فهزها ثم قال من يأخذها بحقها فجاء فلان فقال أنا قال أمط ثم جاء رجل فقال أمط ثم قال النبي ﷺ والذي كرم وجه محمد لأعطينها رجلا لا يفر هاك يا علي فانطلق حتى فتح الله عليه خيبر وفدك وجاء بعجوتهما وقديدهما قال مصعب بعجوتها وقديدها
