The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a call to the tribe of Banu Lihyan that one man from every two should go out for battle. Then he said to the one who stayed behind, "Whichever of you looks after the family and property of the one who goes out, doing so well, will have a reward equal to half the reward of the one who went out."
حدثنا هارون بن معروف حدثنا ابن وهب قال أخبرني عمرو عن يزيد بن أبي حبيب عن يزيد بن أبي سعيد مولى المهري عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ بعث إلى بني لحيان ليخرج من كل رجلين رجل ثم قال للقاعد أيكم خلف الخارج في أهله وماله بخير كان له مثل نصف أجر الخارج
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Ibn Wahb is Abdullah, and Amr is Ibn Harith, both of whom have already been mentioned. Yazid bin Abu Habib, Abu Raja Misri, the jurist, is thiqah. Yazid bin Abu Saeed Madani is maqbul, and Abu Saeed, the freedman of Mahri, is likewise maqbul. Their hadith appears in Muslim.The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 3/1507, number 1896m, and Abu Dawud, 3/12, number 2510.
