The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not insult my companions, for if any of you were to spend gold equal to Mount Uhud, it would not equal a handful given by one of them, nor even half of it."
حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي صالح
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا تسبوا أصحابي فإن أحدكم لو أنفق مثل أحد ذهبا ما بلغ مد أحدهم ولا نصيفه
Its isnad is sahih, its narrators are well-known imams. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 5/10 in the Merits of the Companions, and Muslim similarly 4/1967 no. 2540, and Abu Dawud 4658, and Tirmidhi 3861, who said, hasan sahih.
