A man from the Ansar was in need, so his family told him, "Go to the Prophet ﷺ and ask him for help."He came to him while he was delivering a sermon, and the Prophet ﷺ was saying, "Whoever seeks chastity, Allah will keep him chaste. Whoever seeks self-sufficiency, Allah will make him self-sufficient. And whoever asks of us, we will give him whatever we have."The man said, "So I left without asking."

أن رجلا من الأنصار كانت به حاجة فقال له أهله ائت النبي ﷺ فاسأله فأتاه وهو يخطب وهو يقول من استعف أعفه الله ومن استغنى أغناه الله ومن سألنا فوجدنا له أعطيناه قال فذهب ولم يسأل
